Increase in attacks against Cisco IOS devices

Princeton, NJ – August 12, 2015  – Blueclone has received several notifications that Cisco is observing increasingly complex attacks allowing attackers to gain admin access to Cisco IOS devices by installing a malicious ROMMON image.  Once the image is installed and device rebooted, the attacker can manipulate the device behavior to their advantage.  Blueclone encourages network administrators and network security personnel to review Cisco’s Security Activity Bulletin for more information and apply the listed recommendations to protect Cisco IOS devices.
